Yalova Termal Kaplıcaları
The open-air pool, 22 m long and 1.65 m deep and built in a shape the operator compares to Napoleon's hat, is filled entirely with the site's calcium, sulphate and fluoride thermal water; the operator calls it Türkiye's first registered swimming pool. The Kurşunlu bath beside it was built under Emperor Justinian, dug out and restored by Abdülhamid II in 1900, and has its own pool and sauna.

About Yalova Termal Kaplıcaları
The operator says the spa's Ottoman revival began with Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan, mother of Abdülmecid, who found relief for her rheumatism here; her son then built new baths and pavilions in the valley. Under Abdülhamid II the water was analysed for the first time. The foreign concessionaires who ran the spa left during the wars of 1912 to 1923. Atatürk arrived on 19 August 1929, said this would be the water city of the future, and had it rebuilt. The Kurşunlu bath takes its name from its lead-covered roof, and the whole valley is protected as a first-degree natural, archaeological and historic site.
