About Kızılcahamam Küçük Kaplıca
Atatürk inspected both the Büyük and the Küçük Kaplıca on a visit to Kızılcahamam on 16 and 17 July 1934 and ordered their development. At the time, the municipality says, the pools sat where the hot water reached the surface, and bathers went down to them by stone steps. The municipal thermal water is a sodium bicarbonate, chloride and fluoride water. Besides the kese and massage, the bath offers coffee and salt peels.
