About Lido & Steam

One person, based on the French Riviera, keeps this site. It exists because the answer to "can I get in the water there this month, and what does it cost" was spread across operator sites in five languages and aggregator pages that never say when they last looked.

Where each fact comes from

• Prices, opening hours, swimwear rules and age limits come from the operator's own website and nowhere else. Each carries the month it was read. Nothing older than twelve months stays on a live page.
• Access, parking, crowding and season on swimming spots are written from visits and local knowledge, not from reviews.
• Bathing water classifications are from the European Environment Agency's Bathing Water Directive reporting and always shown with the season year they describe.
• Water temperatures are long-term monthly averages, not forecasts.

What this site does not do

It does not say a place is safe to swim. It does not republish reviews. It carries no advertising and no analytics. If a fact is wrong, the operator's site wins and this page gets corrected.
