Hürrem Sultan Hamamı
Mimar Sinan designed this double bath for Hürrem Sultan in 1556 and 1557, between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, on the site of the ancient Baths of Zeuxippus. It closed in 1910 and held prisoners and then carpets before restoration began in 2008; the men's and women's halls mirror each other along a 75 m axis.
