Thermae 2000
Two physiotherapists founded Thermae 2000 as a spa on the Cauberg above Valkenburg in 1989, after finding thermal mineral springs 381 metres down. Every bath and whirlpool, indoors and out, is filled with that spring water at around 32 °C, and the sauna landscape is textile-free except on Tuesday swimwear days.

- Swimwear and rules
- On regular days the sauna landscape is textile-free and the thermal baths are swimwear only. Every Tuesday is a swimwear day (swimsuit, bikini or swim shorts required in both the saunas and the baths), with occasional swimwear weekends. Every Thursday is a textile-free day (no swimwear in the saunas or the baths), with occasional textile-free weekends from Thursday to Sunday. Bathrobe and slippers required in the restaurants, rest areas and corridors. No phones, tablets or laptops; no goggles or swim toys.
