About Thermen Soesterberg
Five weeks after opening, on 11 September 2017, the resort hosted the World Championship of Aufguss, the sauna infusion ritual. In the Sauna Theater the infusion masters work in front of an LED wall more than 4.5 metres wide, with light and sound shows. A yurt made in Mongolia for Soesterberg has been a rest room since November 2018, and the Pirts sauna, the Gauja steam cabin and a hay sauna opened in June 2024. The indoor relax pool sits under a ceiling of twinkling star lights, and the operator says the bathing water comes from its own source and is treated with salt electrolysis, with no chlorine.
