Toroni Beach
A sandy beach over two kilometres long in front of Toroni, near the south-west tip of Sithonia, with the ruins of the castle on the Lekythos headland at its end. The Ministry of Culture says Toroni was founded by Chalcidians from Euboea in the 8th to 7th century BC, and that Lekythos was lived on, with breaks, from the Early Bronze Age to the 17th century AD.
