Getting in

Access
Grass beach 100 m from the village centre, open from 1 July to 31 August with lifeguards from 11:00 to 19:00. The Parc du Verdon warns that the reservoir level varies (unmarked rocks and shallows can appear), that banks are slippery with muddy bottoms, that the dam turbines can start at any time, and that water-bombing aircraft may scoop anywhere on the lake. Dogs are banned on the beach and in the supervised swimming area. Swimming and boating are banned in the military zone and the dam exclusion zone, both marked by yellow buoys. Jumping from cliffs and bridges, scuba diving and freediving are banned. Motor and sail boats may use the lake only from 1 May to 31 October, and water-skiing is allowed in a set motorboat zone. No fires; no wild camping.
