Thermes de Berthemont-les-Bains
Thermal baths at about 960 m in the Vésubie valley, an hour north of Nice, which the operator calls the only thermal station in the Alpes-Maritimes and whose water it describes as powerfully sulphurous and siliceous. About Thermes de Berthemont-les-Bains
The medical side runs 18-day cures for rheumatism and for the airways, plus mini-cures of three or six days that include the Aqua-Détente pools. From Nice the road climbs the Vésubie valley through its gorges and the villages of Saint-Jean-la-Rivière, Lantosque and Roquebillière, and the centre stands 250 m past Roquebillière. Lunch is at the Panorama café-restaurant, which has a wide view over the valley.
