About Mineraltherme Bad Teinach

Duke Carl Eugen once arrived to take the waters with 326 people in his party, more than the spa town had inhabitants at the time. In the 17th and 18th centuries the spring drew the nobility, and Duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg built himself a palais here as a summer residence. Later Katharina of Westphalia, Napoleon's sister-in-law, took the water. Those dukes still soaked in wooden tubs. Today's bath is pared-back modern architecture beside the historic buildings.
