Nancy Thermal, Spa Thermal
The thermal spa of Nancy Thermal, the city's thermal baths rebuilt and reopened in spring 2023 beside the Parc Sainte-Marie, laid out around the historic round pool. Its 895 m² run entirely on a natural mineral water drawn from a deep borehole at 35 °C, with indoor and outdoor pools, bubble beds, a music grotto and heated marble benches, and a Wellness area that adds saunas, a hammam and hot tubs.

About Nancy Thermal, Spa Thermal
The water was found by drilling: the architect Louis Lanternier paid for a borehole sunk between 1908 and 1909, and at 800.32 m it struck hot mineral water, in what the regional heritage inventory calls the deepest borehole in Europe at the time. He planned the complex around the round pool, built between 1912 and 1914, and the First World War meant the casino and grand hotel in his plans were never built. The spring has failed more than once: it dried up in 1934, when a well fed the pools with Moselle water, and again in 2006, before a fourth borehole in 2010. The round pool, main hall and spring pavilion were listed as historic monuments in November 2020.
