Gamzigradska Banja hospital pool
Rehabilitation hospital opened in 1978 on the bank of the Crni Timok, 11 km west of Zaječar, on thermal springs that come up at 42 °C from 303 m down. Its two indoor pools of sulfidic thermal water, one for adults and one for children, are framed by wall mosaics by the painter Srbinović.

About Gamzigradska Banja hospital pool
Work on the baths here began in 1920, long before the hospital went up. The spa sits at 160 m in a meandering stretch of the lower Crni Timok, with wooded hills around it. The hospital specializes in peripheral blood vessel conditions and vibration disease, and it also prepares soccer teams for the season, and guests have a chess room. The Roman imperial palace of Felix Romuliana, on the UNESCO World Heritage list, is close enough that the hospital suggests school groups hold a history lesson there.
