Bains romains de Dorres
Outdoor pools cut into granite below the mountain village of Dorres in the Cerdagne, fed by a sulphurous spring that the commune says rises at 41 °C. Small old basins and individual stone tubs sit above a larger lower pool at 38 °C, open all year and facing south towards the Canigou and the Serra del Cadí.

About Bains romains de Dorres
The commune says the sulphur spring below Dorres has been used since prehistoric times, and the granite around it is the stone the village's masons quarried and worked for generations. The water turns silver jewellery black, so bathers are asked to take it off first, and the commune suggests staying in for 20 to 30 minutes. From mid-June to mid-September massages are given in the open air beside the pools.
