Caleden
The thermal leisure pools of Chaudes-Aigues, in the Cantal, run alongside the town's cure centre, which draws water from the Par spring at 82 °C at the source, a spring the Romans already used. The pools have a thermal lagoon, a counter-current channel, a giant jacuzzi, underwater jets, geysers and a cold-water pool, beside a sauna and hammam.

About Caleden
The Par spring that supplies Caleden rises in a lane above the market square, and the Saint-Flour tourist office says its 300 litres a minute are enough to run the whole centre. Its name comes from parer, the old job of scraping the bristles off pigs scalded in the hot water at the spring.
