Thermal baths in Aix-les-Bains
Aix-les-Bains is a spa town in Savoie on the east shore of the Lac du Bourget, about 14 km north of Chambéry. The Thermes Chevalley stand on the slopes above the town, with an indoor and an outdoor pool of thermal water drawn partly from a deep borehole. Down at the Grand Port, about 3 km west, boats cross the lake to the Abbaye d'Hautecombe on the far shore.
