Swimming in Vasilikos
Vasilikos spreads along the peninsula of the same name at the south-east corner of Zakynthos, about 11 km from Zakynthos Town. Its beaches split between two shores: Gerakas and Dafni are turtle nesting beaches on Laganas Bay, while Banana, Agios Nikolaos and Porto Roma look east across the Ionian. At Gerakas, the National Marine Park runs an information centre on the loggerhead turtles.
