Thermal baths in Upper Swabia
Also spelled Oberschwaben
Upper Swabia is the hilly country between the Swabian Alb, the Danube and Lake Constance in the southeast of Baden-Württemberg, reaching into Bavaria as far as the Iller. Retreating ice-age glaciers left lakes and moors behind, such as the Federsee by Bad Buchau and the Wurzacher Ried bog by Bad Wurzach, and the Upper Swabian Baroque Route links the region's abbeys and churches between Ulm and Lake Constance. Its thermal baths draw water that rises at 34 to 54.5 °C, several of them sulfurous: the Adelindis Therme in Bad Buchau, feelMOOR Therme in Bad Wurzach, Jordanbad on the edge of Biberach an der Riß, the Sonnenhof-Therme in Bad Saulgau, the Schwaben-Therme in Aulendorf and the Waldsee-Therme in Bad Waldsee.
