About Soul Water Sauna Portobello
The mobile sauna's usual spot is the foot of Brunstane Road North, just behind the green bollards onto the prom, with 2 miles of sand alongside. Three steep steps lead up into a small change space, and inside the benches sit on two levels, with a barrier around the wood stove. There's no timer or temperature gauge, so you decide for yourself when it's time to go out and cool down, within the operator's limit of 20 minutes at a time, with watering cans or the North Sea. The sauna has no toilets: the nearest public ones are at Joppa Rocks or on Bath Street.
