Thermal baths in Saillon

Saillon is a hill village among the vineyards on the north side of the Rhône valley in Valais, about 12 km east of Martigny on the road to Sion. Les Bains de Saillon lies below it, with warm pools inside and out and a sauna and hammam village. The Sentier des Vitraux, a trail of stained-glass panels, climbs from the plain through the walled village to Farinet's vineyard in about an hour.

Swimwear in all pools, even for the very young; no cotton, street shorts, dresses or T-shirts. Swimwear and a bath towel are also compulsory in the Mayens du Bien-Être sauna village. In the separate Spa Cinq Mondes (extra ticket) nudity is allowed only in the outdoor sauna.
