FORTYSEVEN
Opened in 2021 on the site of Baden's old thermal bath, in a building by Mario Botta on the bank of the Limmat. Spring water that rises at about 47 °C feeds the thermal pools; the cold pool and the 25 m outdoor swimming pool use mains water.

About FORTYSEVEN
The Romans were already bathing on this spot, which they called Aquae Helveticae, and the old Thermalbad that stood here closed in 2012, five years before work on its replacement began. The water spends 4,000 to 12,000 years in deep rock, taking on its minerals at depths of up to 1,200 metres; the sulphur is filtered out, and the operator calls it the most mineral-rich thermal water in Switzerland. The outdoor thermal pool, the largest pool in the complex, is reached by swimming out from the indoor hall and lies right on the Limmat. Indoors, the Kosmos has a warm brine pool under light projections, with sound by Boris Blank of the Swiss duo Yello.
