Alhama de Aragón lies in the Jalón valley in the west of Zaragoza province, on the road and railway between Madrid and Zaragoza, about 20 km south-west of Calatayud. Termas Pallarés has a two-hectare thermal lake, up to 2 m deep and about 28 °C all year, fed by springs on its bottom.
