Termy Mszczonów
A municipal thermal pool complex in Mszczonów fed by the Mszczonów IG-1 borehole, which draws mineralised drinking water (about 460 mg of minerals per litre) from 1,602.5 m at 42 °C. The water is neither filtered nor enriched, and its iron content gives it a brown-green colour; the pools run from 26 to 34 °C.

About Termy Mszczonów
The borehole that feeds the pools, Mszczonów IG-1, was drilled in 1976 in a search for oil. It found water, but no oil or gas worth extracting, and the hole was closed. The town reopened and tested it in 1992, and the same water now also heats the town. The pool complex opened on 28 June 2008; the municipality owns it, and the European Regional Development Fund paid for 70 per cent of the building.
