Thermal baths in North Macedonia

North Macedonia's thermal springs rise from the Radika valley near Debar in the west to the foot of Mount Kožuf near Gevgelija on the Greek border, and the national tourism agency dates most of the country's baths to the Roman period. The Negorski baths near Gevgelija are an exception: Shukri Pasha built the first two pools there in Ottoman times. Today most baths are medical spas with hotels, treating rheumatism and other complaints with the water, and at the Negorski baths with mineral mud as well.
