Thermal baths in Riga

Riga, the capital of Latvia, lies on the Daugava river near its mouth on the Gulf of Riga. Both bathhouses here are in Pārdaugava, about 2 km across the river from the Old Town, where wood-fired men's and women's saunas run at the same time and attendants whisk with leaf brooms.
