Egri Termálfürdő (Eger Thermal Bath)

Eger's thermal bath opened in 1932 in a 5-hectare park in the Érsekkert, with a covered passage into the Turkish Bath next door. It runs radon medicinal water and sulphurous thermal water: the gravel-bottomed big pool is fed by its own radon spring, and a covered bath house holds two sulphurous pools at 32 to 34 and 35 to 37 °C.

About Egri Termálfürdő (Eger Thermal Bath)

The north side of the park holds the medicinal pools and slower bathing, and the south side is set up for children and younger bathers. Among the protected plants in the grounds is an oriental plane tree more than 250 years old, voted Hungary's Tree of the Year in 2012 and European Tree of the Year in 2013. In the dögönyöző, a pool sunk 3 metres deep, six spouts set 2 metres up pour radon medicinal water down on bathers. A rest pool is fed by the spring of the Turkish Bath, and lap swimmers get a 50-metre competition pool.
