Altmühltherme Treuchtlingen
Opened in 1996 by the Treuchtlingen municipal utility, a bath complex with more than 3,200 m² of water whose thermal section runs on the town's state-recognised sodium hydrogen carbonate spring, with fluoride. Beside the refurbished thermal pools are a family and active pool with slides, a sauna landscape on the Altmühl river and a summer outdoor pool.

About Altmühltherme Treuchtlingen
The healing water comes from the Burgstall spring, about 800 m down, and is fossil water dated at around 18,000 years old. The indoor thermal pools are on two floors, with bubble loungers, a current channel and a water bar where a barkeeper serves drinks, and the outdoor thermal pool opens onto a garden with a Kneipp wading basin. In the sauna area on the Altmühl bank, one cabin is built into a railbus and the Altmühl sauna looks out over the river, while indoors there's a reading lounge and seating by an open fire.
