Fontane Therme
The thermal bath of the Resort Mark Brandenburg on Lake Ruppin is fed by the Fontane spring 1,700 m below, certified as a healing spring by Brandenburg's environment ministry in 2011. Two outdoor pools and a floating pool hold 3 to 8 % brine beside an indoor freshwater pool, and the nude sauna floor leads out to a lake sauna on the water.

About Fontane Therme
The brine lies at 63.4 °C in its deposit and holds 17 % salt. The operator dates it to 100,000 years and traces the salt to rocks laid down in seas 260 to 200 million years ago, that now lie three to four kilometres under the Neuruppin area. The spring was found in 2006, and the resort also draws heat from it. The floating lake sauna, which the operator calls Germany's largest, rocks gently on the water, and after a round steps lead down into Lake Ruppin. In the reading lounge there's a Fontane library.
