Landgrafentherme
A brine bath run by the Lower Saxony state spa in Bad Nenndorf, fed by pipeline from the Landgrafenquelle in Soldorf, an iodine and sulphur brine of about 17 % that rises at about 21 °C from some 300 m down. For the pool it is desulphurised, diluted to about 2.5 % and heated to 33 °C, and a textile-free sauna area has five saunas and a steam bath.

About Landgrafentherme
The spring behind this bath, the Neue Landgrafenquelle, was drilled in 1965 right beside the old brine spring, which is also piped over to Bad Nenndorf. It runs a good five kilometers by pipe and at source holds about 140 mg of sulfur per liter, and the operator counts it among the strongest brines in Europe and the strongest sulfur springs in Central Europe. Undiluted it's so salty that a bather couldn't sink far enough into it, so the tub baths use it diluted too. In the Galerie sauna, the smell comes from pure kelo wood and birch twig infusions, and there's a sea salt grotto as well.
