About Südpfalz Therme
The largest infusion sauna is built like a hikers' hut around a massive stone stove, with the Palatinate Forest and its castle ruins as the backdrop; the meadow sauna looks over the Kurpark and smells of pressed flowers, herbs and grasses, a nod to Sebastian Kneipp and his wild herbs. Another is laid out as a Palatinate wine cellar, and in one you lie under an almond tree, for the pink blossom that covers the region each spring. The steam bath is named after the naturalist Tabernae Montanus, and the walls of the salt grotto are salt and salt stones from the Dead Sea in Jordan.
