Thermal baths in Ax-les-Thermes
Ax-les-Thermes is a spa town in the upper Ariège valley in the eastern Pyrenees, about 33 km south-east of Foix and some 20 km north of the Andorran border at Pas de la Case. The Bains du Couloubret, in the town centre, fill their pools with water from the hot springs that rise under the town. A gondola climbs from the valley to the Ax 3 Domaines ski area.
