About Therme Pautalia
Pautalia was Kyustendil's name in antiquity, and researchers read it as "spring town" or "gushing springs", after the hot mineral springs that drew a Thracian settlement here and made it a city in Roman times. The complex sits at 527 meters in the south of the Kyustendil basin, and a jacuzzi of hot water looks out at the mountain. The operator rates the water one of the hottest in Bulgaria at the capture and says this isn't a water park in the true sense, though one pool has four slides and another an octopus slide for the smallest visitors.
