Swimming in Es Mercadal

Es Mercadal stands in the middle of Menorca, roughly halfway between Ciutadella and Maó. To the north, Cala Pregonda is a sandy beach with rock islets just offshore, reached on foot from Binimel·là or by boat. Above the town, a winding road climbs Monte Toro to a sanctuary at the top with views across the island, about 10 km south-east of the beach.
