Swimming in Għasri

Għasri sits inland in north-west Gozo, about 2 km from Victoria, with the Giordan lighthouse on the hill above it. From the village a gorge, Wied il-Għasri, cuts down to the north coast and ends in a narrow inlet with a pebble beach reached by steps in the cliff. About 2 km east along the coast, the salt pans of Xwejni are cut into the rock shelf and harvested in summer.
