Swimming in Eraclea Minoa

By the mouth of the Platani river on Sicily's south coast, about 25 km west of Agrigento, Eraclea Minoa is a seaside village. Its sand beach runs under Capo Bianco, a headland of white cliffs, next to the river-mouth nature reserve. On the hill above, a short walk from the sand, you can visit the excavated Greek town and its theatre facing the sea.
