Swimming in Cabras
A few kilometres north-west of Oristano on Sardinia's west coast, Cabras takes in the Sinis peninsula. On the peninsula's western shore, Is Arutas is a beach of small quartz grains that the town fines you for carrying home. Near Capo San Marco, about 9 km south, you can walk through the excavated Phoenician and Roman town of Tharros.
