Swimming in Savines-le-Lac
Savines-le-Lac stands on the north shore of Lac de Serre-Ponçon in the Hautes-Alpes, by the bridge that carries the main road over the lake, about 9 km from Embrun and 26 km from Gap. Savin'Plage is the town beach, with lifeguards in July and August. In the forest about 5 km south-east, visitors can see the church and cloister of the Abbaye de Boscodon.
