Swimming in Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez faces Sainte-Maxime across its gulf from the north side of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, about 20 km from Fréjus. Les Salins is a sand beach on the peninsula's east coast, open to the sea. In town, about 4 km west, the keep of the citadel holds a maritime history museum and looks out over the gulf.

    Les Salins is a sand family beach at the end of the route des Salins on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, where currents sometimes leave dry posidonia on part of the sand.
